3rd NSW Smart Sensing Network Ageing Forum
Event description
Invitation to the 3rd NSSNÂ Ageing Forum
Building a technology-enhanced care economy – with sensors, AI and data
The NSW Smart Sensing Network is collaborating with our industry, academic and government partners to enhance the disability and aged care health workforce, and the communities and people they support, through the smart deployment of technology.
We believe we have little choice given the looming workforce crisis.
We are taking an Australian-owned ecosystem approach to creating and building a technology enhanced care economy and community of practice. This approach combines sensors, data, AI, software, sovereign health system integration, viable care solutions and reimbursement models.
We invite you to join us at our 3rd Ageing Forum in Strangers’ Room at NSW Parliament House on Friday, 22 November, 2024 from 8.30am to 2pm.Â
The forum is being curated by our Human Health Lead, Catherine Oates Smith. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
You will be joining:
- Dr Ian Oppermann, NSSN Board Member; former Chief Data Scientist of NSW; Director, Standards Australia; and Co-Founder, ServiceGen.
- Dr Jill Freyne, NSSN Board Member; former Deputy Chief Scientist, CSIRO.
- Claudia Odello, Deputy CEO, NSW Meals on Wheels.
- Dr George Margelis, Chair, Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council.
- Dr Anita Sharma, Geriatrician, Nepean Hospital.
We hope you will also join us on the day.
