NSW Cherry Vigour Management Workshop with Ronald Vermeulen

The NSW Cherry Extension and Communication project team are looking forward to hosting the's Netherlands Ronald Vermeulen for a vigour management workshop in cherries on the 5th March 2025, in Young NSW. 

The focus of the workshop will be pruning, crop load, irrigation and nutrition management for cherries to improve quality and yield. 

9:30 am - Welcome and introductions, presentations on vigour management in cherry

10:30 am - Morning tea (Provided, please let us know of any dietary requirements) 

11:00 am - Grower panels, discussions and presentations

12:30 pm - Lunch (Provided, please let us know of any dietary requirements)

1:00 pm - Orchard walk with Ronald Vermeulen at Solferino Orchard

Arisa Hayashi is Technical Manager for the cherry program at Bloom Fresh in Australia and New Zealand. Arisa grew up in San Diego, California and studied Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. She has worked as viticulturist for wineries in Germany, Austria and on the Mornington Peninsula prior to working in the Australian cherry industry. Her hobbies include cycling and travelling. She is based in Melbourne, Australia.
