NSW Police Mounted Unit Bicentennial Dinner 2025
Event description
The NSW Police Mounted Unit celebrates its Bicentennial of service to the people of NSW in 2025. Originally formed as the Mounted Police on 7 September 1825 by the Governor of NSW Sir Thomas Brisbane, the NSW Police Mounted Unit in its present status can proudly hold claim to being the oldest continuous operational mounted unit in the world.
The NSW Police Mounted Unit Bicentennial Dinner is the only official function to commemorate and celebrate 200 years of their dedicated service. The dinner is an opportunity for current and former mounted police officers, serving and retired to commemorate this occasion. Celebrating this milestone will be corporate and community partners, and NSW dignitaries. This night of celebration will also be used as an opportunity to raise much needed funds for NSW Police Legacy.
PROGRAM:
- Three-course dinner with accompanying drinks
- Take a journey along the history of the NSW Police Mounted Unit during the course of the evening
- Special performance by the NSW Police Force concert band
- Cocktail / semi-formal event
