Event description
The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to engage, challenge and stimulate the minds of students. Participants from one school forms teams of eight and test their abilities across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy.
The first decathlon was held in 2002 emerging as an exciting extension of the highly celebrated da Vinci Program, tailored for gifted and talented students at Knox Grammar School. This competition is designed to celebrate academic talents of students through an engaging and demanding event that mirrors the spirit of an Olympic Decathlon.
Participation year levels are: Year 5 through Year 11.
