Often compared to the likes of DJ Harvey and Andrew Weatherall, Kenji Takimi is a true pioneer of the underground scene. His label Crue-L Records has been at the forefront of Japanese alternative music since its inception 30 years ago, releasing the likes of Cornelius and Buffalo Daughter, as well as Kenji's own production projects Crue-L Grand Orchestra, Luger E-Go and Being Borings.His much-loved remixes include Cut Copy, Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Boris, Sebastien Tellier and Nina Kraviz, and he’s joined legends like Theo Parrish and Idjut Boys in the studio work.
