This new event has been specially created to support those about to start their first year of teaching whether with their own classrooms or as relief teachers!

The event centres around 3 core domains of:

  • What to take
  • What to do
  • What to ask

and is designed to ensure that you have all the tools and all your questions answered to set you up for success!

It is particularly relevant for teachers with their own class and will include content such as: tips for not over preparing resources before starting, do's and don'ts for classroom set up, what your responsibilities and other positions within the school are, class rules and much much more!

This is an 'ask any question' event. Please come along with any questions you may have.

    AITSL aligned certification will be provided for all participants on completion.

    About the Presenters:
    The presenters are a combination of experienced and graduate teachers seeking to impart the knowledge they wish they knew when they first started teaching!

    Why are tickets to this event so cheap?

    This event is not designed to make a profit. As a not for profit organisation, we simply seek to provide high quality access to education based Professional learning opportunities.

    We have also heavily subsidised this event in thanks to our sponsors who contribute to the overall event costs. 

    What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

    We strongly recommend catching public transport to this event with a nearby train station (Murdoch station) and bus interchange which is a short distance from the university site. Alternatively, car pooling is a highly recommended option.

    CATCHING A HIGH FREQUENCY BUS SERVICE FROM MURDOCH TRAIN STATION:

    Buses: 503, 504 and 513 stop and service the front of the university accessed via South Street and also depart from Murdoch Train Station.

    PARKING OPTION:

    Parking is accessed via South Street - Campus Entrance B'Park in either Carpark 4 or 5. Please note that parking is FREE in all red and green bays.

    What should I bring to the event?

    We strongly recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and bring a notepad as the presenters will provide you with some very valuable information you will wish to record.

     Is my registration/ticket transferable?

    Absolutely, simply contact us with the new name and email address of the attendee via our Facebook page or via email at: admin@networkteach.com. 

     Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

    A printed ticket is NOT REQUIRED for this event as we will simply check you in upon arrival. 

    WHERE IS THE EVENT?

    The event is located at the Murdoch University (South Street Campus), room: 1.005 located on the map below in building 450. Please park in CAR PARK 4 or 5. The venue can be seen from the carpark. Please enter campus entrance B which connects from South Street.
