Nudgee Beach Coastal Restoration
Description
Discover our coastal restoration project
Community engagement, site orientation and project presentation
Join us at Nudgee Beach Environmental Education Centre to learn about the Nudgee Beach EEC P&C's community-led coastal restoration project and learn how we can work together to care for our local coastal environment.
We are beginning a community-led restoration project to improve the health and resilience of the coastal environment at Nudgee Beach. Before any on-ground restoration work begins, we want to bring the community together, share our plans and hear from the people who know and care about this special place.
Is this a working bee?
Not this time. This is an introductory and engagement session. There will be no planting or weed removal on the day. On-ground restoration activities are planned to commence next year, following this initial engagement and planning phase.
There is absolutely no expectation that you volunteer for future planting or weeding activities. You are welcome to come along simply to learn more, share your ideas and be part of the conversation. For those who are interested, we will also share the dates of planned community restoration days for next year.
Be part of the journey
Whether you are a local resident, community group member, environmental enthusiast or simply curious about what is happening in your local environment, we would love you to join us.
Together, we can help create a healthier, more resilient coastal environment for people and wildlife.
