Nudgee Beach Community Citizen Science Wader Bird Appreciation Day 29/03/2025

Nudgee Beach Environmental Education Centre, with the support of our community partners at Qld Wader Study Group and Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre, is hosting a Community Citizen Science Wader Bird Day. 

Designed especially for families with primary and lower secondary children, the day involves a host of hands-on activities and experiences to appreciate the beautiful and unique wader birds that call Nudgee Beach and Moreton Bay home. Learn why Moreton Bay is an important habitat for migratory wader birds, how to spot the difference between bird species and get hands on with binoculars and bird scopes to perform your own citizen science bird count. A range of displays and activities will be available for young and old alike with expert guidance from EEC staff and community partners. Places are limited so register now.
