    Event description

Year after year we witness the the needless, painful deaths of horrible suffering of horses on racetracks in Australia. The reality is that one racehorse dies from racing-related injuries every 2.5 days.

This year the Deputy Leader of the Australian Greens, Dr Mehreen Faruqi, is hosting an in-person event on Melbourne Cup Day. Let’s reflect together on what we’ve achieved so far in the campaign to end these carnivals of cruelty, and consider what comes next.

Note: The ticket price of $15 will cover food, drink, and venue costs
