Event description

Nurture and Parental Self Care, including the Art of Setting Firm & Loving Boundaries for our Children

Nurturing ourselves and our partners whilst striving to support our babies and young children to be physically and emotionally strong, healthy and happy can be both fulfilling and challenging.  This talk will give you as a parent an opportunity to reflect on how you are feeling in relation to your parenting choices. Are you struggling or thriving as a new mum or dad?  Do you feel like you are meeting your child's needs but your needs have been forgotten or you feel disconnected from your partner and community?  Discussions around bonding, breastfeeding, baby wearing and sleep patterns will be explored together with child development and parental relationship changes. Practical tips for how to create loving boundaries, foster intimacy and nurture and care for yourself and your partner will be included.

The second in a series of parent/caregiver talks based on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. Presented by Little Folk Steiner at The Revillaging Project.

Our program of talks offers an opportunity to explore the life of the young child, and the great joys and challenges of parenting in the context of the picture of the human being given by Rudolf Steiner.  Little Folk Steiner talks seek to offer parents, grandparents, carers and early childhood educators inspiration, information and support.

Note regarding Children: It is preferable parents arrange for children to be cared for at home in order for them to gain the most from this inspiring presentation.  Should this not be possible, please contact Nives on hello@littlefolksteiner.org to discuss options.
