NutriSoil together with Central Queensland Landscape Alliance are bringing - Tapping into Natural Intelligence Farming to Queensland

Di and Ian Haggerty own, lease and share farm 23,305 hectares in the Western Australian Central Wheatbelt, operating merino wool and cropping enterprises, they are trailblazers of natural intelligence farming. In his book 'Call of the Reed Warbler', Charles Massy quotes the Haggertys as being the ‘most radical and open-minded thinkers in the world of agriculture. They are not just healing but also transforming the earth because they are working with and not against Mother Nature’

Di and Ian are heading east to share their agricultural journey, which has seen their management practices transform landscapes and increase biodiversity to improve soil health, carbon, and water infiltration. As a result the Haggerty's farm with very little inputs, their Merino wool is sought by European catwalks, they haven't used a drench or mulesed in 21 years and their stock graze on a combination of palatable naturally occurring native grass cover crops.

Native cover crops in the off-season of cropping are key to retaining soil moisture and maintaining healthy functioning soil microbes.

Jane Slattery is the co-founder of Natural Intelligence Farming with Di and Ian Haggerty. Jane is a guide and mentor who works mainly in the agricultural industry and helps people open the door to their unconditional self, empowering them to be intuitive care takers of the earth.

Emma McDonald is a local health coach whose mission is to guide people to see their brilliance through addressing nutrition imbalances and educating people on the importance of nourishing the body with clean and healthy food. Emma has over ten years’ experience in nutrition, emotional and spiritual healing.

Central Queensland Landscape Alliance (CQLA) is a group of like-minded individuals supporting the community to implement regenerative practices in the landscape and in their lives. CQLA help farmers and graziers create healthier plants, animal, soil and human ecosystems.

Now in its second year, CQLA hosts three education and peer-learning events each year and has over 60 members.

NutriSoil is a family owned and operated worm farm in North East Victoria. NutriSoil increases the plant’s natural growing mechanisms resulting in bigger root systems, healthier and more resilient crops, pastures and soil. Nutrisoil is used as a seed inoculant, in furrow and as a foliar fertiliser and is suitable on all crops and pastures. The team at Nutrisoil are passionate about helping farmers transition to a low input farming system that is profitable and builds plant, animal and soil health for a sustainable future.
