Nutrition & Movement
Event description
Dan Kittredge, from the Bionutrient Food Association, and Dr Seb Venaille, from The Human Rehabilitation Project, present how Nature designed us to be well. This event will simplify the overwhelming information about human health and bring you back into alignment with your own instinctual knowing - backed by science.
Dan Kittredge is a lifelong organic farmer who has spent the last few decades working with soil, plant and human health researchers to define what nutrient dense means. His non-for-profit is pioneering the development of a handheld spectrometer for consumers to have full transparency of what produce is most nutritious at point of purchase. Topics Dan will discuss on the day include:
- Does regenerative or organic food contain more nutrients than conventional?
- The massive variation in nutrient-density within the same crop type e.g. 1 carrot can have 200% more nutrients than another carrot. Why?
- What is the current level of nutrient-density in our food compared to what is possible?
- How can we tell what is nutrient dense and what is not?
- Nutrition as our strongest lever against climate change
Dr Seb Venaille trained as a chiropractor and has spent the last 20 years getting to the bottom of what makes a healthy human. He now dedicates his career to helping other practitioners facilitate their patient's path to being truly well. He is the founder of the The Human Rehabilitation Project bringing us science-backed information on ancestral health. Topics Seb will discuss on the day include:
- Using a well researched anthropological lens to filter all health advice so you can navigate contradicting and confusing information.
- Epigenetics and hormesis for optimal health
- Deconditioning as the root cause of dis-ease
- Biomechanics and movement for the human species
There will be time for Q+A after each speaker as well as afternoon tea served between speakers to allow time for informal discussions with peers and speakers.
