Nurturing Natives: growing native food plants
Event description
Interested in learning how to grow your own native foods to eat at home? Not sure what a muntrie or a quandong is? You might already have some plants growing you didn't realise are bush foods!
Connect with our native food plants, what to grow, how to grow them and what to use them for in the kitchen. Karen Shaw from Australian Native Foods will show us some varieties of native food plants that are suited to the Mount Barker area. Karen will have some plants available to purchase on the day *cash only please*
If the weather is nice, we will be gathering outside for the presentation, so please ensure to bring a hat and be SunSmart.
This event is supported by Green Adelaide and hosted by the Duck Flat Community Garden.
