Step inside the captivating life of Griffin Dunne as he shares tales of his storied Hollywood family and the glittering, complicated stars in his orbit – from writer Joan Didion to actor Carrie Fisher.

Join actor, producer and director Griffin Dunne as he discusses his dazzling memoir, The Friday Afternoon Club – an exploration of what it means to come from a family of storytellers and secret-keepers while building a career in Hollywood.

Growing up between Tinseltown and Manhattan, Dunne had an upbringing like none other. His father was the novelist and journalist Dominick Dunne. His best friend was Carrie Fisher. And then there was his aunt, Joan Didion.

Dunne sits down with festival director Rosemarie Milsom to discuss his star-studded childhood, decades-long Hollywood career, and the glamour and tragedy of his larger-than-life family.

Griffin Dunne has been an actor, producer, and director since the late 1970s. Among his work, he produced and acted in After Hours; he directed Practical Magic and the documentary The Center Will Not Hold about his aunt, Joan Didion. The Friday Afternoon Club: A Family Memoir has been named Best Book of the Year by TIME. Griffin and his dog, Mary, live in the East Village of Manhattan.
