NYC Master Chorale & HALO Quartet present: Love Wins
Description
The New York City Master Chorale celebrates the culmination of its 20th Anniversary Season with an exciting collaboration with HALO, Inc., barbershop’s first quartet of African American singers to compete in a major barbershop organization.
In this special concert, the NYC Master Chorale and HALO, Inc. invite the audience on a musical journey articulated with historical narrative and poetry of civil rights activists from the 19th to the 21st century.
Featuring popular Motown hits such as “What’s Going On,” “Dancing in the Street,” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” arranged in the barbershop style by one of the unsung freedom fighters of the era, Allyn Lloyd, and programming by the directors of HALO, Inc. — the New York City Master Chorale and HALO, Inc. invite every audience member to remember and embrace the love that has conquered all and continues to inspire the values and freedoms we strive to uphold.
As always, NYC Master Chorale concerts are open to all people and all ages, including children. Tickets for those under 18 are free (but must be reserved) and tickets for adults are available on a sliding scale. Please email us at info@nycmasterchorale.org with any questions and to register for youth tickets. All are welcome.
