Join us for the inaugural New Year’s Sunset Graze at The George Tasmania, high on Mount George with spectacular 270° views across the Tamar River, Tamar Valley and Bass Strait.

Our Argentinian-style BBQ will be firing up, with delicious sides and salads, alongside your usual Café Bar favourites, sweet treats and Van Diemen’s Land Creamery ice creams.

Enjoy our full drinks menu, including Tasmanian wines, House of Arras sparkling, craft beers, ciders, barista coffee, teas and non-alcoholic favourites.

We’re also welcoming local live musical talent, with performer details announced closer to the day! 🎶

Bring your favourite people, picnic blanket or low-backed chairs and settle in. Pre-order a Tasmanian Grazing Box, reserve a limited Café Bar table, or arrange a chilled bottle of House of Arras for your arrival.

By purchasing a ticket or attending New Year’s Sunset Graze, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Tickets and Pre-purchases

• Your ticket includes entry and a cover charge supporting our local live musicians. Food, drinks, grazing boxes and table reservations are purchased separately unless expressly included.

• Tasmanian Grazing Boxes, selected chilled beverages and Café Bar tables may be pre-purchased, subject to availability.

• Argentinian-style BBQ with sides and salads, Café Bar favourites, sweet treats, Van Diemen’s Land Creamery ice creams and drinks will be available to purchase onsite.

• Humanitix booking fees apply and are displayed before payment.

• Pre-purchased items are for collection and use at this event. Please bring your booking confirmation.

• Tickets and pre-purchases are non-refundable for change of mind, non-attendance or early departure, subject to Australian Consumer Law and applicable Humanitix terms.

Food and Drinks

• No outside food or drinks, unless agreed with us beforehand for a dietary or medical requirement.

• Advise dietary requirements when booking or ordering. We’ll do our best to accommodate requests with advance notice, but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Please discuss allergies with staff before eating.

• Food is available during the advertised serving period and may sell out.

• Menus may change due to availability. Any necessary substitution for a pre-purchased item will be of comparable quality and value; your consumer rights remain protected.

• Onsite prices will be displayed before purchase. Confirmed pre-purchases will not incur an additional charge without your agreement.

Seating and Service

• Most guests will be seated on the lawn. Please bring a picnic blanket or low-backed chairs.

• Only 10 Café Bar tables are available and must be reserved in advance. Reservations are charged per table, allowing one table per four guests.

• Reserved tables may be released if unoccupied 15 minutes after the advertised start time, unless you’ve contacted us.

• Order and collect from the Café Bar—there is no table service.

• Please contact us before booking if you need accessible seating or assistance.

Alcohol and Guest Conduct

• Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements apply. Valid photo ID may be requested.

• Alcohol will not be supplied to anyone under 18 or to intoxicated persons.

• Respect staff, performers, fellow attendees, accommodation guests and neighbouring properties. Follow reasonable safety and venue directions.

• Unsafe, aggressive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive behaviour may result in refusal of entry or removal. No refund will ordinarily apply where removal results from a serious breach of these terms, subject to law.

Children and Dogs

• Guests under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the event.

• Well-behaved dogs are welcome on lead and under effective control. Keep dogs away from food-service areas.

• Owners must clean up after their dogs and prevent disturbance to guests or wildlife.

Venue and Safety

• Remain within designated event areas. Accommodation Pods, decks, guest pathways and surrounding accommodation areas are private.

• Our coastal bush setting includes uneven lawns, gravel paths and steep edges. Wear suitable footwear, bring sun protection and warm layers, and supervise children closely.

• Native wildlife may be present. Do not approach, feed or disturb animals.

• We prepare the lawns before the event, but occasional wildlife droppings may remain. Take care when walking and placing blankets or chairs.

• Report hazards, injuries or incidents promptly to staff.

Parking and Facilities

• Onsite and overflow parking are subject to availability. Please follow staff directions and keep access routes clear.

• Accessible parking is available—contact us beforehand to discuss your needs.

• Toilets, including an accessible toilet with baby change facilities, are beside the Café Bar.

Weather and Event Changes

• This is an outdoor event and will proceed where conditions are safe.

• We may adjust arrangements, postpone or cancel if severe weather, fire risk or other circumstances make this necessary. Ticket holders will be notified as soon as practicable.

• If the event is cancelled or materially changed, refunds for affected tickets and pre-purchases will be provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and applicable Humanitix terms. Any transfer or credit offered instead will be optional.

• Individual performers or set times may change. We’ll communicate significant changes as soon as practicable.

Photography and Personal Belongings

• Photographs and short videos may be taken for promotional use. Tell our team on arrival if you prefer not to appear, and we’ll take reasonable steps to respect your preference.

• We’ll seek parent or guardian permission before using identifiable close-up images of children for promotion.

• Please take care of your belongings. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for our negligence or limits rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
