Nylon Phoenix "Magenta" Single Launch

After rocking stages all around Melbourne for the last year, Nylon Phoenix are launching their first single 'Magenta' at Creatures of Habit on July 31st. Magenta is a comedic, chunky and speedy rock and post punk revival track. The song is a reflection on your 20’s, the modern dating scene and slowly feeling yourself become moulded by its toxic culture. The lyrics feature frontman Jet, as he plays many of the different characters that you could run into, both in person and online.

Joining them will be Jump the Fence, who originated in Buenos Aires and have made Melbourne their new home. Their melancholic guitars with an electric pulse will get you moving and this is a chance to hear their new single 'Second Wind' live.

Rounding out the lineup is Humane, an Alt rock band from Melbourne. They’re a bit grungy and a bit bluesy, with punchy riffs, soaring vocals and plenty of atmosphere. Honest songs and emotive live shows are what they’re all about. Secure your spot early as tickets are limited.

Nylon Phoenix Bio: Bright, energetic and fun, Nylon Phoenix is a fresh and exciting two piece from Melbourne. Chameleons of sound, we use primarily ukulele and drums to move through post punk revival, indie rock & pop, and alternative genres to create songs and performances with a heavy focus on the audience interaction, participation and stage presence. Contrasting our bright energy and aesthetic, we hope to bring some darker topic to light, and let you feel it through our show.

Jump the Fence Bio: This is jump the fence, a band born in Buenos Aires and now based in Melbourne, Australia. Long story short, we’re the result of Patagonian friends who one day crossed an imaginary line and never bothered to return.

And yes, yes yes yes... if you were looking for melancholic guitars with an electronic pulse that moves from post-punk and shoegaze to disco and ambient textures, well... YOU'VE FOUND THEM.

Humane Bio: We are HUMANE, a 5-piece alternative rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Our music encapsulates atmospheric tones, punchy riffs and soaring vocals.
