Event description

Trauma is a ‘hot’ topic in literature but many people struggle to write about trauma. Some people feel unsafe when they write about trauma, others worry they have misunderstood or misused certain terms. This workshop with award-winning writer Eda Gunaydin and writer and trauma researcher Tina Huang will cover the following topics:

  • What is trauma?
  • What is trauma informed writing?
  • Ethical storytelling
  • Counter-storytelling

This event is a part of National Young Writers' Festival, presented in partnership with NewSouth Books.
