Come and celebrate Anton Bruckner’s 200th birthday with the FSO as we fill the air with a glorious tapestry of sound...

Be enchanted by Stokowski's brilliant arrangement of the timeless Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, feel the grandeur of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, and experience the world premiere of Strange Clouds, Musical Director David Pye’s most recent work, in which Hildegard von Bingen’s O Magne Pater theme is woven into a contemporary masterpiece.

Now in its seventh decade, the Fremantle Symphony Orchestra (FSO) is a vibrant community orchestra presenting up to five concerts each year at a variety of venues around Perth, Fremantle and country WA.

As a full size symphony orchestra comprising of around 60 dedicated musicians, our repertoire is wide ranging in its genre, appeal and presentation. Since our inception as the Melville Orchestral Society in 1961, the FSO has established itself in and around Perth as an adaptable and innovative group of musicians sharing a strong passion to bring music to our community. We are a non-profit organisation, run by a voluntary committee and dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of music for all.
