Sustainable House Day is an event from Renew that provides the opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most inspiring homes, and learn from the people who designed them, built them, and live in them.

Please note that you will need to book in to a specific tour time, and if you do not arrive at this time you will not be able to tour the home. This is due to capacity restraints set by the homeowner to ensure the safety of all parties on the day.

You will be sent the address in the days before the event.

About this home

'Oasis on Oakley' integrates double-glazed windows throughout, with low-E coatings on west-facing ones for optimal energy efficiency. Solar panels are strategically positioned to maximize their effectiveness. Noteworthy is the home's commitment to airtightness, achieved through comprehensive sealing and a HRV system for effective ventilation. Heat pump hot water and air conditioning systems further enhance solar energy utilization. Water retention techniques, such as innovative roofing design and diverters, promote efficient resource management.
