OBC Open Day 2026
Description
We're celebrating our 70th anniversary and the official opening of $3.5 million on site developments.
Enjoy boats, cars, a train and lots of family fun at the OBC!
10.30am-1.00pm - Open Day, all welcome
11.00am-11.30am - Grand opening of site developments (the other attractions will continue while the the opening ceremony takes place)
We’ve lined up a fantastic range of attractions—there’s something for everyone:
A range of Rayglass Boats on display. Book here to take a ride out on the harbour (approx 25 minute ride).
Special Cars & Motorbikes – A unique display of vintage and specialty vehicles
Free rides on a miniature train
LegaSea, Coastguard, Surf Life Saving, Auckland Council's Marine Biosecurity trailer - meet the friendly sniffer dogs (if they haven't been called out to a job)
Delicious eats – Brooklyn hotdogs and chips, real fruit ice creams and LegaSea coffee cart
Fun for kids – Bouncy castle, games, self-guided treasure hunt
Miniature donkeys
Free skin/melanoma checks from NZ Skin Health
Clubhouse open – Kids colouring in, OBC movie footage from the 1960s, cash bar and Motuihe Trust display
Friendly staff on hand to answer your questions
It’s a fun, inexpensive and easy day out:
Free entry – everyone is welcome
Friendly dogs on a leash can come too
On-site parking available - 7 Tamaki Drive (entrance near Lilliputt mini golf)
