IDX SYD - Celebrating World Industrial Design Day: Object of Resilience

As is becoming an IDX tradition, we’re curating an interactive gallery where you are the exhibiting artist. Inspired by The World Design Organisations theme: Resilience.

"What is your Object of Resilience?"

We invite you to design, create, or share an object that reflects your own journey of resilience - through the lens of design and your design practice - whether it's a product, prototype, keepsake, tool, or meaningful artefact that tells a story of overcoming challenges, growth, adaptation, or perseverance.

Set in a relaxed, standing-format environment, the evening unfolds as a collective exchange where designers gather around a central table, presenting, questioning, and responding to one another. Guided prompts throughout the night will encourage deeper thinking, connecting individual perspectives into a broader conversation about design, resilience, and the role objects play in shaping both.

This is not just an event, but a space to connect, reflect, and reframe how we see the things we make and the stories they hold.
