Obsidian Dark Beer Festival

Immerse yourself in the rich world of dark beers at Obsidian Dark Beer Festival! Featuring 14 independent Victorian breweries and a selection of 28 dark beers, this event celebrates the depths and darkness of these bold brews. Join us for an exploration and a little indulgence as we showcase the best of Victoria's craft beer scene. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience! 

When: Saturday 29 June
Sessions: Day 11am-3pm & Evening 4pm-8pm
Where: Mining Exchange Ballarat
What: Ticket includes access to 14 Independent Victorian Breweries, samples of 28 dark beers, entertainment, masterclasses & festival glass
Other: Palate cleanser beers, cocktails/spirits and food all available for purchase at the event. Food vendors include Ballarat legends Campanas serving cheese platters, Tim Bone offering up his famous toasties and Lilly from Flying Chillies wowing you with Bao!

Obsidian Dark Beer Festival strives to curate an exceptional selection of dark beers, ranging from stouts and porters to black IPAs and barrel-aged specialties. We believe in promoting the exploration and appreciation of these rich, complex, and often underrepresented beer styles.

Each participating brewery has 2 distinct dark beer styles on offer, ensuring you won't leave disappointed.

• VLINE Buses from most areas (Geelong, Horsham, Ararat, Adelaide)
• Buses in and around town
• Taxi's and Uber
• Venue is a 5-10 minute walk from Ballarat Train Station
