Obsidian Dark Beer Festival 2025

Immerse yourself in the rich world of dark beers at Obsidian Dark Beer Festival! Featuring 14 independent Victorian breweries and a selection of 30 different dark beer styles, this event celebrates the depths and darkness of these bold brews. Join us for an exploration and a little indulgence as we showcase the best of Victoria's craft beer scene. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience! 

When: Saturday 28 June
Sessions: Day 11am-3pm & Evening 4pm-8pm
Where: Mining Exchange Ballarat
What: Ticket includes access to 14 Independent Victorian breweries, a special guest brewery, samples of 30+ dark beers, entertainment & festival glass
Other: Palate cleanser beers, cocktails/spirits and food all available for purchase at the event.

Obsidian Dark Beer Festival strives to curate an exceptional selection of dark beers, ranging from stouts and porters to black IPAs and barrel-aged specialties. We believe in promoting the exploration and appreciation of these rich, complex, and often underrepresented beer styles.

Each participating brewery has 2 distinct dark beer styles on offer, ensuring you won't leave disappointed.

• VLINE Train Melbourne (Southern Cross) to Ballarat approx 1hr 30 min
• VLINE Buses from most areas (Geelong, Horsham, Ararat, Adelaide)
• Buses in and around town
• Taxi's and Uber
• Venue is a 5-10 minute walk from Ballarat Train Station
