Ocean Festival: Coffee and Conversations at Mona Vale Library
Description
Subtitle
Come out of your shell, grab a coffee, and connect with others while while learning about what’s being done to bring our local marine and coastal habitats back to life.
Thursday 12 Nov, 11.30am - 12.30pm at Mona Vale Library
Discover the important role of Posidonia seagrass, oyster reefs and mangroves, the pressures these habitats face, and how restoration projects can help create healthier waterways and provide vital habitat for marine life. Join Jason Ruszczyk and Stephani Lopes for a relaxed and informative conversation about efforts to protect and restore some of our most valuable coastal ecosystems. Jason is a Senior Environment Officer at Northern Beaches Council, and Stephani is completing her PhD at UTS, where she studies how climate change is affecting the fish we catch and eat from NSW estuaries.
