Ocean Heroes is coming back to Broome for our fourth event this year - a Two Day Event!

Ocean Heroes is excited to return to Broome to share the joy of surfing with the local neurodivergent community. We're stoked to run a two day event at the iconic Cable Beach - with the capacity to take 100 participants surfing for free! Please share this with other families throughout the Broome and Kimberley region!

Date: Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August 2026

Venue: Cable Beach, in front of the Surf Life Saving Club, Broome, Western Australia

Time: The participant will be booked into a 45 minute time slot between 9am-2pm.

What to bring: Bathers, towels, hat, water bottle, sunscreen and a change of clothes

* Please be advised it is compulsory for each attendee to wear a life jacket in the water.

We provide surfboards, wetsuits, lifejackets and surf instructors.

There will be Ocean Heroes hats, shirts, poncho towels and other items for sale at the event.

FAQs

Are there minimum or maximum age requirements to enter the event?

No, if they fit into one of our life jackets we will take them! We have a huge range of of sizes for our life jackets so it should not be a problem.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking may be challenging given the redevelopment of Cable Beach. Please give yourself extra time to find a park!

What can I bring into the event?

Bring a change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, hat. We provide wetsuits and lifejackets but if you/your child has their own wetsuit please bring it down.
