OCEAN LOVERS FESTIVAL | Paint & Splash - Sea Canvas

Get ready for a colour explosion! In this 2-hour workshop led by local artist Han Art, you’ll journey into the dazzling, otherworldly universe of nudibranchs — the ocean’s most flamboyant, fashion-forward sea slugs. With their electric patterns and surreal shapes, these tiny creatures are Mother Nature’s most unexpected masterpieces.

Joining us as special guest is Jen Mather of @randwickmarinelife, a passionate marine educator known for bringing Sydney’s underwater world to life. Jen will share incredible stories and close-up insights into nudibranch behaviours, their surprising superpowers, and where these tiny technicolour wonders hide along our coastline.

After diving into Jen’s nudi-branch magic, you’ll create your own glowing tribute: a hand-painted translucent porcelain tea-light inspired by their wild colours and patterns. Han will guide you step-by-step, helping you translate nature’s quirkiest beauty onto porcelain — and your piece can be kiln-fired into a luminous keepsake if you wish.

Please bring $10 cash on the night if you want your pieces fired! Please leave 28 days for the firing process.
