Ocean Lovers Festival 2026 | PAINT & SPLASH - Brushstrokes from the Reef
Description
OCEAN LOVERS FESTIVAL | Paint & Splash - Brushstrokes from the Reef
Make a splash with us in this vibrant 2-hour art experience led by local artist Han Art! You’ll explore the flowing shapes of coral and the charm of seahorses as you paint your own glowing porcelain tea-light — a delicate, translucent piece that can be kiln-fired into a luminous keepsake.
Adding depth beneath the surface, we’re joined by marine science powerhouses Dr Ariel Pezner and Mitchell Brennan from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS). Dr Pezner dives into the hidden chemistry of coral survival, while Brennan brings stories from the front lines of seahorse conservation and the remarkable efforts to protect White’s seahorse in Sydney Harbour.
Expect colour, creativity, and a wave of inspiration as art and ocean science collide. Come create something beautiful and discover the wonders that make our reefs truly magical.
Please bring $10 cash on the night if you want your pieces fired! Please leave 28 days for the firing process.
A range of canapés will be provided on the night. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact Hotel Ravesis directly by emailing events@hotelravesis.com
WHEN: 6:30 pm - 9 pm Wednesday 25th March, 2026 (doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start)

Guests will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of wine by fellow lovers of the ocean, The Hidden Sea. An amazing wine sharing our vision and mission, it’s making a real impact. For every bottle sold, The Hidden Sea removes the equivalent of 10 plastic bottles from the ocean, helping create a cleaner, healthier future.
Spots are limited, so be sure to book early to secure your place in this inspiring celebration of art, marine life, and ocean health.
We can’t wait to SEA you there!
