Event description

Join Dr Jake Robinson, a microbial and restoration ecologist at Flinders University, for a fascinating talk on the science behind the benefits of spending time in nature – aka forest bathing. Jake explains the magic work of our invisible friends – the soil microbes!

During this talk, you’ll learn about:

  • human-nature connection - the visible and the invisible

  • importance of urban biodiversity

  • the science behind the health benefits of time in nature

  • ecosystem restoration

Dr. Jake M. Robinson is dedicated to protecting and restoring nature, while also supporting the well-being of people. Jake is the author of Invisible Friends, exploring the important role of microbes in our lives and the environment and Treewilding, a journey through the history of the relationship between humans and trees.
