a delicious shared meal (obviously)
this event is primarily for ASAC Members with limited tickets for non members
Hosted by Rumali Kularatne
Rumi joined ASAC in 2023 with a mission to make new friends and celebrate the brilliance of South Asian. Her 9-to-5 is with FW, as a Senior Director for Learning and Engagement (to connect about work things! Find her on LinkedIn), but for life beyond work she’s @rumithisara on Instagram.
She is here to help break the ice and (selfishly) make new friends! Rumi considers Grey’s Anatomy to be a top influence on her identity development and truly doesn't understand the appreciation people show for camping. She loves to cook up a feast, enjoys painting, and is an avid audiobook listener, with Romantasy being her ultimate guilty pleasure.
In the spirit of supporting restaurants by POC, we'll be dining at Lah Bros!
Lah Bros was founded by young Nepali chef Rajeev Chakradhar, who grew up immersed in the rich flavours of traditional Nepali cuisine in Kathmandu before bringing his own take on modern Nepalese cooking to Melbourne. Drawing on his heritage, including his grandfather's own restaurant in Kathmandu, Chakradhar blends family recipes and traditional flavours with modern techniques to create dishes that are creative, meaningful and a joy to eat.
Please note, refunds are only available up to 48hrs prior to the event. Once the event is sold out - a waitlist is active and will automatically notify you if someone cancels.
We may have a photographer and videographer with us on the night, capturing the gathering to share across our social media. By registering you consent to us using the photos and / or videos we capture across our social media, newsletter and/or other digital channels.
