October Monthly Mingle

Join us for our October Monthly Mingle, our informal get-together that aims to bring people closer to their local food system and community. Monthly Mingles are an opportunity to share food, stories, and views on sustainability and our food system. This month we have departed from our usual schedule of the third Sunday of the month to accommodate the schedule of our guest speaker. The Monthly Mingle will be on Sunday 22 October.
We are very excited to have Vince Heffernan as our guest speaker for October. Vince is a 6th generation sheep grazier currently stewarding his 180yr old family farm, Moorlands Bio-Dynamic Lamb, in the Canberra bioregion. Vince is an expert on new forms of regenerative land management and will also explain the importance of animals in healthy farming ecosystems.
As usual, before Vince's talk, we'll be firing up the pizza oven (if fire danger ratings allow) and will provide pizza bases, sauce, and cheese; please bring other pizza toppings for our volunteers to prepare various options to share.
This is an outdoor event; if the weather is not on our side, fear not, for we have an indoor wet-weather option.
