Get ready to travel back in time! Stirling Libraries, in partnership with RealChina Cultural Society Inc., invites curious young explorers to uncover the incredible story of the Terracotta Warriors — one of the most significant discoveries from ancient China.
In these fun and engaging sessions, kids will learn about the powerful emperor who built the warriors, the secrets they were meant to guard, and what life was like over 2,000 years ago. With exciting stories, hands-on learning, and a look into a world full of mystery and adventure, it’s the perfect journey into history!
Each session brings the past to life in a way that’s easy to understand and fun to explore.
Writing on Turtle Shells - Session 2
Thousands of years ago, people carved symbols into turtle shells—those marks became the first Chinese writing! With help from a powerful emperor, they changed over time into the characters used today, carrying with them the rich history and culture of China.
Engage in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll unravel the story behind these captivating symbols and even learn to write your very first Chinese character. Get ready to step into history and bring ancient writing to life!
