Event description
The Odyssey Literary Festival is a student-led initiative from RMIT’s Professional Writing and Editing program.
The festival will examine reading and writing through life’s liminal phases — and it’s free to attend!
Events on the main stage at The Capitol will run in three parts:
- Phase I: Emergence — childhood, adolescence, and stories with pictures
- Phase II: Rites of passage — the drawn-out coming-of-age and re-writing "happily ever after"
- Phase III: The approach — poetry performances and speculative futures
With your free all-day ticket, you’re welcome to come and go as you please, attending as many or as few events as you like.
Events will be panelled by established and emerging writers alike, with a particular focus on RMIT alumni, staff, and students.
Check out our website for more information, where you can also view the full program schedule.
This event is a must for all hardcore book lovers. We hope to see you there.
