This is the fourth class to be held in a series of classes hosted by Rosa, and run out of Little BIG house Summer Hill.

These classes have been created to form a safe space that is inclusive, disability accessible, affordable and social, whilst also learning a new skill that provides much reward. These classes are as much about learning, as they are about sharing, engaging with others and collaborative learning.

MENDING and SIMPLE ALTERATION

Welcome to the mending and simple alteration class.

You will learn:

- finishing armholes and necklines with bias binding

- elastic waistbands / inserting elastic

- attaching waistbands to skirts/pants

- taking excess fabric out of garments - making garments smaller using darts

- hemming pant, dress skirt, sleeve lengths - changing lengths

- patching holes with fabric

- Bring your own machine or use one of ours!

All resources, tools, fabrics will be supplied!

Bring a garment or two that need mending if you like!

In the event that you have purchased a ticket but cannot make it please let me know as soon as possible and I will pay your ticket forward to someone else.

*Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian. Carers do not need to purchase a ticket. There is a cozy lounge area for carers/guardians and others should they need to / wish to attend the class, but not actually participate in the class. Support workers / carers are most welcome without the need for a ticket.
