OFF THE GRID: Snowshoe Day Trip – Porcupine Rocks (Kosciuszko NP)
📆 Saturday, July 26 — Meeting at 5:00am at UC, aim to be back home around 6pm

👣 ~5.7 km return | Moderate (snow + elevation)

$ Gear hire, petrol, park entry (optional. coffee/ breakfast in cooma)

We’re trading dirt trails for snowy peaks! Join us for a full-day winter adventure through alpine trails, snow gums, and stunning snow! Think snowshoes, Santa hats, a secret santa and hot choc. This trip has capped numbers (8 spots free) assuming we have two cars to drive down 🎄❄️

What to bring:

✔ Snow shoes - Rhythm hire
✔ Waterproof boots - Rhythm hire

✔ Waterproof & wind proof jacket

✔Waterproof/ water resistant pants

✔Long sleeve shirt (thermal/ not cotton)

✔Thermal/ warm pants (no cotton trackies!!!)

✔Warm socks (ideally merino)
✔ Jacket + waterproof pants
✔ Beanie, gloves, scarf or buff
✔ 2–3L water, snacks & packed lunch
✔ Sunscreen, lip balm (with UV protection, sunglasses, sun hat

✔ Sit mat (optional by recommended)
✔ Mug for hot choc
✔ Christmas in July goodies (chrissy hats + small secret santa gift)
✔ Full change of clothes for after

🚗 ~2.5 hr drive — limited seats, preference for 4WDs or cars with snow chains (2WD)
