Join us at Bygone Beautys, nestled in the village of Leura within the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area for the official opening of “SOS” (Shelley on Show) with drinks and canapes.

To be held on Friday 24 March, with an entry of $27.50.

This special evening will kick off the "SOS" exhibition, that will remain open from Saturday, 25th March to Monday 3rd April 2023, and ongoing, will be a gold coin donation.

All proceeds and donations will be given to Cancer Wellness Support, Blue Mountains who provide subsidised complementary therapies, counselling and ongoing support to those living with cancer.

The extensive collection of Shelley China Ware does encompass rare and unusual pieces, and is owned by a delightful lady, Elizabeth Holt who lives in the Blue Mountains.

**Brief History of Shelley**

The Shelley Family owned & operated under the title of Wileman & Co, using the trade name of Foley, from 1872 till 1925.

1st January 1925, the announcement was made that the Shelley family would start operating under the name Shelley.Shelley was is in many ways like any other pottery in the world.However they showed a distinctive development, particularly being influenced by public taste. 

Shelley’s production line included bone china, tableware, harmony ware, commemorative & advertising ware, Mabel Lucie Attwell Nursery ware, jelly moulds & domestic ware.Many products illustrate the styles of Art Deco & Art Nouveau, later after the 2nd World War started to reflect the balance between traditional & modern design. Shelley closed their doors in 1966.

Cost for the official launch: $27.50 per Person, with all proceedings going to Cancer Wellness Support (CWS)
