Come on down and say high to your local presenters and gain some insight into the inner workings of your favourite radio station. You will need to hurry! there are only a limited amount of spots available!

RTRFM is The Sound Alternative: an independent, non-profit community radio station in WA that provides an alternative voice for Boorloo and beyond through innovative music and talks programming. Founded in 1977, we take pride in being a platform for local news and issues, with a strong focus on the arts, culture, social justice, politics and the environment. We especially champion local music and support musical diversity through 50+ specialist music programs and a huge program of events.

Open House Perth is an organisation that celebrates the best of architecture, design and the built environment in Perth and its surrounds. It gives visitors unprecedented, behind-the-scenes access to Perth’s best places and spaces.

From commercial towers to residential masterpieces, heritage gems to modern civic spaces, hidden locations to beautifully realised gardens and some of Perth’s leading architecture and design studios; Open House Perth invites people to explore destinations that aren’t usually accessible to the public for one weekend only.

Open House Perth has opened the doors to hundreds of destinations for over 400,000 people since the first Open House Perth’s first event in 2012. There’s no doubt that the people of Perth have a hunger for good design, a passion for great architecture and a burning desire to experience this unique event.

Open House Perth was founded by Carly Barrett in 2011. The Open House concept was founded in London in 1992 with the aim of fostering a better understanding of architecture outside the architecture profession – it now spans the globe. Open House Perth is part of this Open House Worldwide family, and it’s in good company too! Perth’s Open House sister cities including London, New York, Dublin, Jerusalem, Oslo, Chicago, Rome, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Madrid, Milan, Melbourne, Brisbane, Zurich, Stockholm, Atlanta and Mexico City to name a few.

It is hoped that people use this event to increase their knowledge of Perth’s built environment, gain a greater understanding of sustainable practices in design, get inspiration for their next renovation project, show off the city to visitors, or just have a good old fashioned sticky beak! It’s an experience that can be shared with friends, family and design lovers of any age.
