Oi Musica & El Taller present... an introduction to Marcha, Clave & Guaguanco

Join percussion expert José Rojas for an Introduction to the Marcha, Clave, and Guaguanco!

In these three sessions, José will open a window to the traditions of the Afro-Cuban culture, introducing the different patterns of the “clave” and its relationships with the congas and tumbadoras. Also, we will work hard to get the technique of the instruments, with the aim to play together a guaguanco and marcha in a nice and respectful environment...  so book your place in the workshop and prepare your hands to get obsessed with the congas and clave!

All instruments will be provided

A bit of experience in hand drumming will serve you well, but if not, don't worry! You will still gain a huge amount from José's skill and knowledge of his speciality.
