Event description

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration represents an urgent call to arms for both public and private sectors to take unprecedented, impactful action to address the global emergencies of biodiversity loss and climate change.

It is critical that nature finance is rapidly scaled so that global targets are met. To do this, we need to fully account for nature in strategy, economic, investment and risk management decisions, recognising that nature is an asset to be protected rather than exploited.

Speaker: Dr Rachael Marshall, General Manager, Accounting for Nature

Panel:

Prof. David Pannell, Co-Director, Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy

Emily Briggs, Deputy Director General, Climate and Sustainability, DWER

Prof. Stephen Swearer, Jock Clough Marine Foundation Oceans Chair

James Tresize, Director, Biodiversity Council
