Oil/ Acrylic Painting Class - Term 4 2026 Tutor Tony Bramwell

These classes are designed to help students become familiar and confident with their chosen medium—either oil or acrylic painting.

Participants will learn about the materials, tools, and techniques that form the foundation of successful painting. Through guided instruction, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to create your own artworks while gaining a deeper understanding of your chosen medium.

Topics covered include brushwork, palette knife techniques, colour mixing and application, composition, and the effective use of a variety of painting tools. Students will also learn practical approaches to developing their own style and creative expression.

Materials:

Students are required to provide their own materials and equipment, and protective clothing should be worn.

The Arthouse has a number of tabletop easels available for use; however, you are welcome to bring your own easel if preferred.

A detailed suggested materials list is available upon request.

Students are responsible for cleaning their personal workspace at the end of each class in preparation for the next session.
