OK Kids Korral, The Toby Keith Foundation-Community Service Opportunity, OKC

Come join us as Epic Charter Schools heads to the OK Kids Korral- The Toby Keith Foundation in Oklahoma City on Monday, September 16th for a day of giving back to our community. The OK Kids Korral is housing for families who have children that are fighting against childhood cancer. This service opportunity will allow us to help this program with various needs including cleaning, sanitizing and organizing toys and other items, as well as general cleaning and groundskeeping.

This Community Outreach Project is for Epic Charter School High School students and their parents or guardians.  

There are two times available to choose to volunteer from:  Morning:10am-12pm or Afternoon: 1pm-3pm. Please only choose 1 volunteer time (morning or afternoon) so that we can allow as many students as possible to serve at this event. 

The OK Kids Korral is also accepting donations, so if you are able you may bring empty pop cans & tabs to donate for the Grocery & Supply Funds.

What to Wear and Bring:
* Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes that may get dirty
* A refillable water bottle

ITINERARY: Upon arrival, please check in with an Epic Family Engagement staff member who will be in Epic gear. We’d also love to see you in your Epic gear! We will begin with a short tour followed by cleaning and organizing items/toys. You may also have the chance to interact and assist families who are at the OK Kids Korral.

Morning Volunteers:

• 9:45am-10:00am Morning Volunteer Check-In
• 10:00am-12:00pm Volunteer Time
• 12:00 Conclusion
  

Afternoon Volunteers:

• 12:45pm-1:00pm Afternoon Volunteer Check-In
• 1:00pm-3:00pm Volunteer Time
• 3:00pm Conclusion

MEDIA: This is a public event and photographs and or video may be taken during the activity. If you prefer your student to not have a photograph or video taken, please let our Epic Family Engagement staff know during check-in.

CANCELLATIONS: As a reminder, if you sign up to come but are unable to make it, please cancel your reservation using your Humanitix confirmation email. This will open up spots for other families.

1. Go to Humanitix Confirmation Email
2. Click on "Manage Order"
3. Click "Refund/Cancel"
4. Select ALL or manually select the tickets you need to cancel
5. Click the "Review" button
6. Click the "Confirm" button

Inclement Weather: If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Humanitix or the email used at registration to notify if the field trip has been canceled.
