Historic Premiere of Oklahoma Woman Quartet by Cherokee-American Composer Anjelica Lindsey

Join us for the highly anticipated live premiere of the Oklahoma Woman Quartet, a groundbreaking chamber work by Cherokee-American composer Anjelica Lindsey, at The Bellview in Tulsa on March 1, 2025. This free, ticketed event will showcase Lindsey’s original compositions for string quartet and voice, featuring musicians from the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra and Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra. Anjelica Lindsey will also perform vocals.

Special guest composer Dr. Noam Faingold will present two original works and share remarks.

This cultural milestone, supported by Artist Creative Fund and CACHE Create, celebrates the first-ever string quartet composed and premiered by a Cherokee woman.

About the Artists Creative Fund (ACF):

Artists Creative Fund (ACF) is a program of the George Kaiser Family Foundation made possible with support from the Tulsa Community Foundation and CACHE. ACF provides grants annually to improve funding, visibility, and professional development for Tulsa-based artists and creatives. In 2024, 20 artists were selected to receive $10,000 to test, explore, and create innovative work for debut during the grant period that concludes in March 2025.
