Okonomiyaki- Japanese Pizza w/ Chef Rumi
Event description
“Autumn Harvest Okonomiyaki: A Taste of Japanese Festival Traditions.”
“In Japan, autumn is a season of harvest festivals, where communities come together to celebrate the bounty of the season. At these festivals, it’s common to enjoy okonomiyaki from lively food vendors, savoring this savory pancake as a way of giving thanks and enjoying the autumn air. In our class, we’ll recreate that festive atmosphere with a homemade okonomiyaki menu, a comforting miso soup, and a cup of roasted green tea. Come and experience a little piece of a Japanese autumn festival!”
Class Description:
Join us for a delightful culinary journey where we dive into the art of making Okonomiyaki, often called Japanese savory "pizza." In this class, you'll learn to prepare a delicious okonomiyaki from scratch, paired perfectly with a refreshing Choregi salad, a warm bowl of miso soup, and a cup of roasted green tea (hojicha).
We’ll go step-by-step through each element. By the end, you'll have a full meal that brings the taste of Japan to your table, balanced with the earthy warmth of hojicha tea.
