"Old Bertie" Book Launch
Description
Join Vincenzo Perrella and Dan Osborn to celebrate the release of their new YA novel, Old Bertie, published by Fremantle Press.
About the book
Old Bertie is a hilarious tale about a man-eating squid and the people who fear him.
Their handful of fans familiar with Old Bertie from earlier works, including the award-winning short films This is Perth and George Jones and the Giant Squid, will be delighted to find that Perrella and Osborn have taken the concept of a community that makes offerings to a malevolent Giant Squid to its apotheosis: a 375 page novel packed to the brim with humour, satire, a gripping plot, and remarkably few typographical errors.
About the event
With music by DJ Sardi, and a bar ready to serve you, the authors promise a late afternoon gathering in the spirit of camaraderie and fellow-feeling as they celebrate the power of the written word and engage in smug self-congratulation.
Books will be available to purchase on the night thanks to New Edition, and the authors are willing to sign them!
Please RSVP to let Perrella & Osborn know they won’t be celebrating alone.
