Comedy icon Mark Trevorrow, acclaimed singer Rupert Noffs and Music Director Bev Kennedy have spent the past several years making music together to sold-out audiences around Australia.

In 2025, the trio toured nationally together in CHOOSE BOB! 40 Ridiculous Years, celebrating four decades of Mark’s legendary creation Bob Downe and culminating in a sold-out performance at Sydney’s iconic Enmore Theatre.

Now, fresh from touring OLD FRIENDS through some of Australia’s great live rooms — including Brunswick Picture House, Melbourne’s Memo Music Hall and Perth’s legendary Ellington Jazz Club — they’re bringing the show to the Blue Mountains for one fabulous night before Christmas.

OLD FRIENDS ricochets joyfully through Broadway, jazz and pop, with music from Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Burt Bacharach, ABBA, the Bee Gees and plenty of unexpected treasures along the way.

For more than 40 years, Aussie comedy icon Mark Trevorrow’s gloriously irrepressible creation Bob Downe has entertained audiences across Australia and around the world. But when the polyester comes off, there’s another side to Mark: a fabulous singer, storyteller and cabaret performer in his own right. First appearing as himself on Good News Week, Mark has been “singing straight” ever since.

Rupert Noffs — “Pitch perfect!” (Australian Arts Review) — is a NIDA-trained performer who also studied classical voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. After seven years living and performing in New York, he returned to Australia and has since appeared on Channel Seven’s All Together Now, performed at New York’s Joe’s Pub and created his sold-out BROADWAY, BABY! cabaret shows.

At the piano is acclaimed Music Director Bev Kennedy — “A one-woman orchestra!” (Stage Whispers) — whose extraordinary career spans more than 30 major professional musical theatre productions, including Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia!, Wicked, The Lion King, Chicago, The Producers, Jersey Boys, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Muriel’s Wedding.

Together, Mark, Rupert and Bev have turned OLD FRIENDS into a much-loved cabaret favourite — great songs, outrageous stories, plenty of laughs and the kind of chemistry that only comes from years of making music together.
