Join us for this two-day Older Person Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) workshop, designed to build your skills in supporting older adults who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
Please arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM for a 9:30 AM start.
Facilitated by Jane Massa from the Towards Zero Suicide Initiative, Sydney Local District; this in-person training offers practical guidance in a supportive environment. Across two days, you will learn how to:
Recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health issues in older people
Provide initial support and connect them with appropriate services
Understand the unique mental health needs of older adults
Whatβs included:
A copy of the Older Person MHFA Manual
Eligibility to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider
Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are on us β both days!
