Voted by Pitchfork as the number 1 album of 2005, Sufjan Stevens' Illinois remains a monumental achievement in musical history. It blends folk, choral, jazz and classical music with the lyrical wizardry of a young poet determined to capture the essence of an American state in a 22-track musical album.

Just over twenty years after the album was first released, Oliver Jach and friends invite you to Come On Feel the Illinoise! once again, performing Illinois at The Wesley Anne on Friday January 22nd.

There will be banjo, acoustic guitar, piano, trumpet, flute and violin, as well as a small Illinoisemaker choir. 13 of the most iconic songs from the album will be performed alongside other Sufjan Stevens classics.

Support on the night will come from Kate Lucetta and Jake Gray.
