Oliver! Jr. is a vibrant, youth‑friendly retelling of Lionel Bart’s beloved musical, based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.

In Victorian England, orphaned Oliver lives in a grim workhouse. When he dares to ask for more food, the outraged Beadle Bumble sells him to an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London, where he meets the charming Artful Dodger, who introduces him to Fagin — a sly old man who trains a gang of children to pick pockets.

On his first outing, Oliver is wrongly accused of stealing from the kindly Mr. Brownlow. When the truth emerges, Brownlow takes Oliver into his home, offering him the warmth and care he’s never known. But Fagin’s dangerous associate, Bill Sikes, fears Oliver will expose their criminal world. With Nancy’s reluctant help, Sikes kidnaps Oliver and drags him back to the gang.

Nancy, moved by Oliver’s innocence, risks her life to help him escape. She secretly meets Brownlow to arrange Oliver’s return, but Sikes discovers her betrayal and kills her in a fit of rage. Pursued by an angry mob, Sikes flees and meets his own end.

In the aftermath, Fagin slips away into the shadows, and Oliver learns the truth about his family — he is related to Brownlow. At last, Oliver finds the love and security he has longed for.
