Olives to Oil - Northside
Event description
OLIVES TO OIL 2024
Presented in partnership with Merri-Bek, Yarra and Darebin Councils, Olives to Oil is an annual event run by CERES, bringing people together to harvest olives and have them pressed communally into delicious, local olive oil.
We’re thrilled with how popular Olives to Oil has become, growing exponentially year on year. To help cope with this demand and ensure more people have delicious oil to enjoy, there will be some changes to the program this year - please read the details carefully even if you have participated before.
OLIVE DROP OFF
Tickets are essential to take part, we won’t be able to accept olives which aren’t planned for this year. When booking you'll be asked to select a weight category you expect to pick. Small quantities(under 20kg) remain free so everyone can participate, but larger quantities will be asked to contribute to help cover costs. Book a time to bring your olives to CERES in Brunswick East on
Sunday 5th May 11am - 3pm OR
Sunday 19th May 11am-3pm
Due to the popularity of the program in 2024 tickets are only available to residents of participating councils - Merri-Bek, Yarra and Darebin. Please bring proof of address with you when you drop off your olives.
If Olives to Oil isn’t available in your area - we recommend sending a letter to your local council to encourage their participation next year. Write your own or use this email template.
OIL PICK UP
You (or a friend or family member) must be available to collect your oil in Preston on Sunday 16th June. If you miss this day, there will be no further opportunity to pick up your oil.
