Cooking Workshop & Dinner (Dee Why)
Event description
Join Cade as he ventures down to Sydney to share his sought after plant-based cooking workshops. Following the launch of his cookbook, 'Plants, Clay & Fire', he is inspired to share his way of cooking with a wider audience. Cade runs an organic catering business in Byron Bay, is a maker of stone mortar & pestles and runs a small cookware company selling traditional clay cooking pots.
-
The workshop will be held at Hake House in Dee Why and has an emphasis on cooking the way our ancestors did, using cookware and utensils made from the Earth - clay, stone, wood and metal. This workshop is hands on and experiential, not a demonstration. We will use unrefined organic ingredients, make fresh curry paste in a mortar & pestle, make fresh coconut milk, roast and grind spices, learn how to make and ferment dosas and cook a heap of plant-based recipes inspired by his travels to South India and Sri Lanka.
